Voyagers win 2017 Old Penarthians 7’s in style!

It’s great to announce that The Voyagers were victorious at the Annual Old Penarthian 7’s on Saturday May 20th 2017. Having beaten arch rivals Glan Taff Goats and the Scorpions on the way to a keenly contested final against new boys Ponty Butchers, the boys were clinical in their approach and ran out deserved winners. Captain Jonathan Philips and ‘Player of the Tournament’ Joe Scrivens led by example and the carnivores had no answer to the blinding pace of Rory Budina and the deft skills of Pete Davidge, Mike Powell and Ryan Griffiths. Great work also from Josh Clark, Stu Edbrooke, Adam Williams Johnny Rogers, Chris Poole and Barney Bartlett contributed to another memorable day and clearly mark The Voyagers as the team to beat. Special thanks must also go to Stef Andrews and Nigel Connell for preparing the boys and to our gazebo monitor Gar Thomas for an endless supply of food and drink!
