Dr K W “Ken” Thomas

Monday, 19th July 2021

Ken passed away on Friday morning, 16th July, at St Thomas’s Hospital after a long battle with several ailments over the last year.

He was born in Tumble in the Gwendraeth valley and after Carmarthen Grammar School he studied medicine at Kings College Hospital, London eventually becoming a GP in the Old Kent Road where he practised for some 42 years.

A staunch supporter of all things Welsh in the London community, he had many interests especially rugby. He served as medical officer for London Welsh RFC for over 20 years and became club Chairman in 1982 - 1984 and being created a life member in 2002.

He was a Voyager for over 50 years and supported the organisation in many ways. Our sincere condolences go to Margaret and the family.

D. E. Thomas.
