Rhian Roberts
Talented centre Rhian Roberts was injured playing for Tumble RFC Ladies XV and suffered a serious back injury. After spending 2 hours on the field at Parc y Mynydd Mawr waiting for an ambulance with limited feeling in her feet, she was taken to Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen. She was put in a neck brace and told she would be bedridden and hospitalised for 6 weeks for the initial recovery period. Rhian was then moved to the specialist spinal unit at Rookwood Hospital.
Rhian is now making good progress and with the help of her physios is back on her feet again and with the aid of a special bike she recently participated in a 5 mile charity cycle around Cardiff Bay to raise money for Rookwood Hospital. A great achievement from a very determined lady!
The Voyagers made a donation of £4,000 to help Rhian with her recovery and we wish her every success in her battle to regain full fitness.
