Grace Matthews
2016
Grace was aged 24 when, on 21 February 2016, when playing rugby for Bletchley RFC Ladies in a top of the table clash, she was tackled and dislocated her knee causing arteries in her leg to sever. As a result of this, and despite multiple attempted repairs, the muscle and leg died resulting in an above knee amputation.
The Voyagers have assisted in Grace’s rehabilitation with a donation of £5,000.
